Napoleonic Wars, British Light Cavalry Officer sword pattern 1796. Curved steel blade with double sided gilt etching and narrow fuller. Maker mark "R.B. Cooper, Birm - 18.." engraved on the spine near the guard. Gilt plated bronze hilt with decorated rain guards. Leather covered wood handle with twisted wire. No scabbard.
