BRONZE SCULPTURE WINGED VICTORY OF SAMOTHRACE: The Winged Nike, The Nike of Samothrace, Victoire de Samothrace. A sculpture done in bronze after the world-famous Grecian Hellenistic era sculpture of Parian marble which resides at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The original having no arms or head, has been re-imagined and expertly sculpted in bronze now having a head and arms. Artist unknown. The work was deaccessioned from the St Petersburg Museum of Art many years ago. Measuring overall 73” h., Sculpture 52” h., pedestal 21” h. Weight: 143.5 lbs.
