BROOKLYN / GIANT PRISM WITH THUMBPRINT BAND OPEN COMPOTE, colorless lead glass, plain edge, raised on an Early Thumbprint/Argus base having a hollow 12-flute stem and 24-scallop foot with single row of 24 thumbprints underneath, wafer construction. Bakewell, Pears & Co., Pittsburgh. Third quarter 19th century. 5 1/2" H, 9 1/4" D rim, 4 1/4" D foot.
Excellent condition with a chip and a few flakes to the stem, minor to moderate interior wear/scratching.
