Early and original BSA A65 Star Twin from the 2nd owner with matching numbers. Bought in 1965 from Motordealer Piet van Es in Rotterdam when the BSA was as good as new. Piet van Es was a well-known driver and dealer in English motorcycles (BSA & Norton) . The A65 was then with the same family for 55 years, transferred from father to son on June 20, 1975. This is a very early A65 from 1963 with, among other things, beautiful original steel fenders and side covers with original BSA logos. All sheet metal is original and still in good condition. The chrome on the tank is original and in good condition. The original rims were re-chromed in the 1990s and are in good condition. The right muffler has some traces of battery acid. There are (invisible) improvements, such as: Boyer ignition with modern ignition coils Electronic voltage regulator JRC 30mm flatslide carburettor RGM anti-drain valve SRM clutch and SRM oil filter The BSA starts very easily due to these modifications. Driving, braking and shifting are very good. Lighting and dynamo work well. Video: https: //youtu. be/6FYx. Bi8o. Wb. A Front tire: Dunlop K82 (TT100) in good condition without drought cracks and with a lot of profile. Rear tire: Avon SM Mk2 in good condition without drought cracks and with a lot of profile. The engine block was overhauled in the 1990s by the overhaul company Stolk, when, among other things, 1st oversize pistons and new valves were added. The engine runs very well without any smoke or oil leakage. When purchased in 1965, the BSA was repainted by the dealer in the original black factory color, at the request of the new owner. The new owner did not like the striking blue color (the 1st factory option) . A new saddle was also fitted in the late 1960s. The original Smith Chronometric odometer was overhauled by a specialist in the 1990s but is currently out of order (needle is off) . The frame number and engine number are of course original, as delivered new by the BSA factory. The Star Twin has the original registration, date of 1st admission: August 2, 1963. The original papers with the correct engine number are present. Modern registration papers are also available for transfer or export. 2 keys present. Includes a box with extra parts. The BSA is ready for the new season. Delivery within the Netherlands is free. Delivery throughout Europe. For export: Free export document in your name is included. For French buyers: Assistance with requesting the "carte grise de collection" is possible.
