FIRST EDITION of the narrative of a Norwegian-Australian expedition to the Ross Sea, 1893-95. Bull traveled to Australia in 1880, where he connected with fellow Norwegian Svend Foyn, a shipping magnate who financed the expedition. Among the crew was Anglo-Norwegian explorer Carsten Borchgrevink, who later led the Southern Cross expedition. Rosove 55.A1.b; Spence 210; Taurus 14.
