Baccarat colorless lead crystal lidded compote in the Mille Nuits pattern designed by Mathias. The piece features a flared bucket-form bowl with vertical ribbing above a textured band, supported by a multifaceted fluted stem and a circular foot with radiating wedge cuts to the underside. The domed lid follows the ribbed motif and is surmounted by a tall hexagonal pointed finial. An acid-etched circular mark on the base of the foot depicts a carafe flanked by a wine glass and a goblet, with Baccarat France lettering around the perimeter. The crystal is also marked with a linear Baccarat script signature and a Mathias script signature. Accompanied by the original red Baccarat presentation box. Box measures: 28 x 20 inches.
