Ballerina Dancer Bronze Statue

When you look over the sculpture and the depth and warmth of the patina meet your eye, it sends a sense of calmness and gracefulness. It’s almost as if the sculpture is a picture of a lullaby in still motion. She points her toe, carefully and gracefully she turns her body, even her fingers are positioned in a polite manner. Her beautifully proportioned body is accented by the ballet dress she wears. Creasing with gravity and fluid movement, the bodice is similar to a corset adorned with beautiful roses by her left shoulder. The skirt is wide and flowing at the hips giving nice dimension to the dancer. On her feet she wears ballet slippers that criss- cross around her ankles and tie. Her hair is tied back split into pigtails and tied up again into such fine proper buns. Her face has delicate features, with high cheeks bones, a small pointy nose, wide innocent accepting eyes and a smile that cannot be forgotten, it’s no wonder why the prince asked for her hand in marriage. She was captured using the thousand year old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina stain for preservation. She enchants mounted atop a black marble base with the artist Collet signature.
