These CDs have sold at auction for over £1000 and represent an excellent investment in the cheaper end of Banksy's work. The CD has the all-important CD ID code "BANKSY001" on the underside of the CD near the center hole, as pictured. This would have been added during the production of the CD and is found on authentic examples of the Banksy CD. Banksy and his team have replaced numerous Paris Hilton CDs with these versions in HMV stores across the country. The initial print run was 500 CDs followed by a second print run of 1000. This is from the second print run.

Banksy visited 42 record shops across the UK replacing Paris Hilton's original CDs with his own modified copies, placing them in the original barcoded cases so they could be purchased. Banksy's stunt was mentioned in the national press, and as a result, most of the works were removed and destroyed at the time.

The one on sale in this listing is the second edition of 1000 CDs with similar graphics, but with the sticker that was on the outside of the jewel case on the first 500 copies, now smaller and printed at the top right on the front of the booklet. For this edition the CD was an actual burned CD with printed design rather than the CD-rom with "Paris" written on the front that had been included in the HMV version.
