Baphuon Style Sandstone Male Torso (possibly Vishnu)
A Baphuon style Khmer stone sculpture of a male torso. Possibly Vishnu. The torso has a slender waist, broad hips and shoulders, wearing a vertically striated sampot with the pleated ends forming a 'butterfly wing' shape.
The Vishnu torso is mounted on a wood base (later). The torso measures 35cm / 14" excluding wood stand.
