Condition: Berlin with soft crease along upper edge, scattered minor indentations visible in raking light, minor foxing; Moskau with yellowing along image border possibly mat burn, scattered surface abrasions; Gorbachev with mat burn, discoloration, accretions to the center, scattered abrasions, soft horizontal crease running throughout only visible in raking light.
N.B. Barbara Klemm has worked as a photojournalist for four decades and in her time has covered many historical and cultural events in German history. The daughter of two artistic parents, Klemm started making photographs as a teenager during an apprenticeship at a portrait studio and shortly after began working at the renowned German press agency Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. She chronicled German society as a press photographer for the agency from 1970 until her retirement in 2004. From the fall of the Berlin Wall to Christo and Jean-Claude wrapping the Reichstag, Klemm captured the moments in photographs that were published in a newspapers, magazines, and books across Germany.
