Barkan's flagship wine in the 2011 vintage

Cabernet Sauvignon from the elite series Superior is the highest expression of this variety in the range of wines from Barkan Wineries. This wine consists of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Originating from the finest plots in the upper Galilee. These plots were harvested when the grapes showed perfect taste ripeness. Each plot and sub-plot on time. The wines were born in a relatively hot fermentation and continued to soak the long skins which allow deep extraction of the grape ingredients and impart complexity to the wine structure. The various wines were aged in new French barrels for about 20 months during which the wines developed into harmony and elegance.
