Vase by Joseph Inwald, for Barolac, model number 586 (Bohemia, Czech Republic) Art Deco period, year 1934, large (26 cm high, max diameter 19. 5 cm) , monumental and heavy (3. 6 kg) , crystal relief vase "Alberi ". It is a frosted vase, designed and surrounded entirely by a high relief, by a well-detailed and defined forest of trees, surrounded by vegetative details. It is often confused with or attributed to Lalique, as the status, size and quality are up there with Lalique. Depth perception in this model extends beyond the surface and, under different light conditions, recedes or becomes more prominent. The Art Deco and Art Nouveaux design periods often had natural exterior elements, of trees or leaves. Barolac was a line of frosted wares, by Joseph Inwald, designed and produced for retailer John Jenkins & Sons of London. In perfect condition, carefully packaged with tracked shipping.
