Baroque manner English sterling silver repousse large centerpiece, maker's mark: Horace Woodward & Co Ltd and hallmarked: "London / England / 1894," presented to Augustine Roche of Cork Ireland 1893-1894 by the citizens of Cork, made in London 1894, comprising a large bowl / basket flanked by two smaller bowls each detachable bowl with the Arms of the city of Cork on a shaped base featuring C-scrolls, shell-forms and floral motifs with a central engraved cartouche on the base: "Citizens of Cork to the Right Worshipful The Mayor Alderman Augustine Roche.... for the years 1893 & 1894." 12.5" H x 40" W x 20" D. Approx 242.44 ozt.
