[ translate ]

Bas Kosters has a strong emotional bond with the objects in his environment. When he came to Amsterdam, he roamed the streets in search of treasures, materials for his work. His fascination with traffic cones is ongoing. With this 'Safe me' project, he wants to put that attraction into words. Objects give him a sense of comfort and security. The Glass traffic cones are produced by van Tetterode Amsterdam. This orange traffic cone is number 1 in an edition of 16 made for the Amsterdam Museum. On display during Object Rotterdam 2021 and until July 2021 in the Amsterdam museum. Bas Kosters obtained his masters in Fashion Design in 2003 at the Artez Academy in Enschede. Fashion is only a small part of his outspoken and colorful work. From drawings, wall hangings and unique dolls to these glass objects.
