Batman #1 Sixth Page Only (DC, 1940) CGC "No Grade" Off-white....
Batman #1 Sixth Page Only (DC, 1940) CGC "No Grade" Off-white. With our last PR copy of this issue selling for $57,600, Batman #1 has become more and more out of reach for many collectors. However, individual pages from this iconic issue -- featuring the first appearance of the Joker -- can be had for a fraction of that. Plus, many of the pages actually show Joker, which can't be said for the cover of Batman #1! This page is one such example, occurring after the Joker had already murdered four wealthy jewel owners, disguised himself as a police chief, thrown Batman off a bridge, and left Robin to pick up the pieces. Batman also gets an incredible line: "You may be the Joker but I'm the king of clubs!" Story by Bill Finger. Art by Bob Kane and Sheldon Moldoff. Batman #1 is currently #5 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Page six only. (Tape on page.)" Overstreet 2026 GD 2.0 value = $96,667.
