Battle Damaged WW1 German Mauser 98/05 Bayonet, being an untouched example with shaped two piece wooden slab grips. Steel pommel with acceptance stamps to the reverse and steel cross guard. Housed in its steel scabbard which has bullet / shrapnel damage to the edge. Swollen blade with the spine having crowned acceptance stamp and ‘15’ for 1915 issue. Blade by Simson & Co Suhl. Blade with some surface staining and wear, as does the exterior fittings.
