Baule Standing Male Figure, Ivory Coast, standing on a rounded base, on heavy bent legs supporting an elongated torso with arms carved into the abdomen, an elongated neck, above an oval face which has protruding lips, and half-closed eyes with a complex incised crested coiffure, decorated at the torso, neck, and face with raised scarification, wearing a bead necklace, an overall rich black patina, (wood loss at the rear of the base), ht. 13 in.
