The Beatles “Please Please Me" 1st UK Press Mono Vinyl LP

Here we have my Please, Please Me LP, PMC 1202, Mono, first pressing on Parlephone with black and gold labels & Dick James Music credits ( later pressings showed the correct northern songs) and Angus Mc. Bean showing in bottom right hand corner of cover with it moved to the right eg the A of Angus appears just after the S at the end of songs , signifying the first sleeve design along with the flip backs on the back of the cover . The Matrix numbers EX 421-1N & EX 422-1N are clearly visible in the photos as is a three letter tax code showing correctly on one side only also confirming this to be a first pressing ( see photo of centre label on Side 1)

I have been lucky enough to own three copies in my life so this is from my personal collection & I have used the international grading system to grade this as follows.
Cover : Very Good
The cover has wear to the bottom
Edge and a tear to the bottom right corner of the flip back on the rear ( see photos) which is not unusual to find. Other copies I’ve seen for sale have far worse wear than this.
Vinyl: The vinyl is graded much higher and is at least at Vg ++ . I’m sure a dealer might even grade this excellent as it looks amazing for its age with just a very small number of very light hairlines and no feelable scratches affecting playing of this record ( see photos) . It really is the best of my three copies I’ve ever owned.
It is 60 years old and has been play tested as part of my collection.
It retains its original inner sleeve . I’ve added a new poly lined inner and an outer protective sleeve. It will be posted in a record mailer with additional protection.

Beatles fans will know this first pressing is one of the most sought after of all Beatles first pressings and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good copies. It can only continue to increase . Another Mono 1st pressing graded excellent just sold for 2666 Euros this month (Popsike) and I have just sold my other Mono copy here for 2500 Euros as I am downsizing my massive Beatles collection. Please see my other ads here for Beatles concert brochures.

Please note I will pay for postage costs so there are No additional costs to you.

Happy bidding fellow Beatles fans.
