[ translate ]

Sought-after original call sheet for the taping of the British television show Thank Your Lucky Stars on March 28, 1965, one page, 8 x 13, signed in the lower portion in black ballpoint by the Beatles—Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr. The Beatles sign their names in the fields marked: "Brian Intros, Interviews the Beatles," "The Beatles, 'Ticket to Ride,' 'Yes it is,'" "Wind Up," and "The Beatles Play Out, Super Roller." The sheet is also signed by several other musicians who performed on the show that evening, including: Tom Jones, Peter Asher and Gordon Waller, Gene Pearson, Charlie Thomas, Johnny Moore, Johnny Terry, and Billy Davis of The Drifters, and the original Animals lineup of Hilton Valentine, Alan Price, Eric Burdon, Chas Chandler, and John Steel. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, overall creasing, paper loss to the upper left corner, and a vertical tear running along the left edge of the type. Two years after their Thank Your Lucky Stars premiere, the Beatles made their final performance on the program on the date of this call sheet, March 28, 1965. Filming took place at Alpha Television Studios in Aston, Birmingham, with the Beatles miming recordings to three songs before a studio audience, ‘Eight Days a Week,' ‘Yes It Is,' and ‘Ticket to Ride.' A hugely desirable call sheet dating to the recording and filming period of Help!_x000D_
_x000D_
Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, who notes that the "signatures on this call sheet were obtained by Hilton Valentine, who was the rhythm guitar player for The Animals, and as such it has impeccable provenance. After obtaining The Beatles autographs on this call sheet, he thought it would be a good idea to have everyone sign if he could…While he didn't manage to get everybody, he did put together an impressive collection. Signed Beatles TV show call sheets are indeed rare and desirable, and few have turned up over the years."
