A beautiful Egyptian carnelian scarab, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, flat backed, the body detailed with incised lines on the wing case and the legs nicely carved. Holed lengthwise for suspension. 13 x 9 mm. A great example with original polish. Ex Spangenberg collection, TX.
