Belgian Target Percussion Pistol: Mid 1800s
Target/ Dueling Belgian Style Percussion Pistol: Mid 1800s. Octagonal Damascus steel smoothbore iron front sight barrel, checkered walnut grip, engraved lock plate, hammer, trigger guard, unmarked escutcheon plate at the curve of grip behind the hammer. The butt of the grip has an ornate floral plate, cap box does not open. Pitting, wear and use patina to furniture, barrel, and stock, most notable on hammer and spur. Walnut stock has cracks and a small loss forward of the plate on the left side. Missing a screw/ fastener on the lock plate, replacement screw on the left plate. 13 inches overall, 8-inch barrel.
