I present to you this magnificent revolver of beautiful quality, made by an arms manufacturer. Very pretty pinfire revolver with a closed (block) body and reinforced barrel. Made in Liège. ‘NEW ENGLISH PATTERN PINFIRE PISTOL 7 mm 20 SEPTEMBER 1876’ Original nickel finish still present. The grip plates on the butt are walnut wood, gunpowder proofing hallmark with lion. Hallmark stamp of the manufacturer ‘L. F. ’ (LE FAUCHEUX) Grooved barrel, all parts have the same original number. The mechanism works perfectly in double and single action. The weapon has regulatory punches of the bench test of LIÈGE, specifically: ‘ELG *’ above a star inside an oval with a crown: acceptance of final post 1893. ‘D’ star of the inspector/controller on the cylinder (René Marchal, 1951 to 1968) Hallmarked ‘MJ’: This is MUSSEN-LALLEMAND Jacques, manufacturer of revolvers, rue Pied du Thier, 51 in Liège (BE 1908-1914, then after the war 1919-1952) From 1907 to 1927, he filed six Belgian patents, including a safety for an ‘IDEAL’ revolver. He used the trademark ‘MJ Breveté’ and/or ‘M’ inside a horseshoe. Revolver very rare in this condition!
