Belgian Officer percussion pistol, very good condition, works perfectly In the 19th century, officers often purchased personal weapons for use in the service. It was a way of asserting its social status, by exhibiting finer and better finished weapons than the regular weapons. This one is in good condition. This weapon is hallmarked ELG (Belgian manufacture) under the barrel, The weapon was manufactured with care, simple and very solid; the thick barrel (traces of damascus barrel visible) and the elegant but wide stock were designed to withstand the impacts and accidents of military life. The engravings are in good condition and the steel parts are very clean . Nice and clean stock. Due to international and local regulations, sales outside the EU are not possible!
