Good example of Belgian cavalry percussion pistol for Western European market dated to ca. 1830-40, preserved in very good, original condition. Steel lock's plate, trigger guard and hammer decorated with engraved flower scrolls and lines emphising shape of parts. Steel hexagonal barrel stamp with Belgian mark - EFL and star in oval. Steel original ramrod. Walnut stock with checkered grip. But finished with engraved steel mount. Very good condition for the age, wood finished with hand applied French polish, minor scratches and dents. Steel parts in perfect condition with light natural patina. Lock working, strong spring.
