The Holy Bible Containing the Old Testament and the New, includes the Apocrypha, general engraved title page by William Marshall containing small central device 'Alma Mater Cantabrigia', New Testament title with printer's oval woodcut device and typographic decorative border, double column, printed side notes, Roman and Italic letter, numerous woodcut initials and tailpieces, light age yellowing, light scattered and mainly marginal damp staining and dust soiling throughout, some marks, small tears to lower outer blank corner of leaves in a few places, burn holes to fff, fff3 and hhh with loss to a few letters, marginal repair to kkk2 and other 16 leaves at end, occasionally touching signatures and catchwords, I3 chipped with minor loss of text, later reverse calf, blind tooled covers, rather rubbed and worn, Bulwer family lineage on front endpaper, ownership signature on main title, [Herbert 520. Darlow & Moule 403. STC2331], folio (383 x 245 mm), Cambridge, Thomas Buck & Roger Daniel, [1638].

***The second edition of the Cambridge folio, considered to be the best available at the time and remained the standard text of the Authorised Version until 1762.
