The Holy Bible, containing the Old Testament and the New: Newly translated out of the original tongues: and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, London: Printed by Henry Hills and John Field, 1660, additional engraved general title, ornamental border to letterpress general title and New Testament title, Apocrypha present, old repaired closed tear to leaf C8 with consequent adhesive staining, bound with an incomplete Book of Common Prayer at front (lacking all before A3) and bound with an incomplete The Whole Book of Psalmes..., London: Printed by A.M. for the Companie of Stationers, 1655 at rear, lacking all after E5, some close trimming and cropping to running titles of Common Prayer and Bible, some toning and light dust-soiling, heraldic bookplate to upper pastedown, late 18th/early 19th-century sheep, neat modern reback, some wear to boards, 8vo, together with an incomplete duplicate of the same Bible, comprising leaves A1-X6 (Genesis to Esther chapter 9), present with engraved title (torn with loss and lined to verso), following five leaves slightly torn at gutter and repaired, borders ruled in red throughout, toning and light damp-staining, near contemporary blind panelled and decorated dark brown morocco, slim 8vo (Quantity: 2) Darlow and Moule 527; Herbert 670. Apparently the same as Herbert 669 (D & M 526 ) with the exception of the general title, which is engraved (architectural design, with royal arms above, and King David below), and bears the name of Henry Hills only.
