Description: From the Rainbow group Of ornate form with light relief moulding creating figure panels with gilt metal hinge mounts and with its four contents including scissors snuff spoon and knife one side embossed with cartouches painted work with cartouches of Hebe and a pair of doves the other side painted with mercury writing on the Tablet and Cupid bearing a torch the white ground with raised gold scrollwork a very similar example in the Schreiber collection is illustrated in Rackham’s catalogue plate 19 figure 191 and another from the same mould was in the Mullins collection 22 February 1977 lot 168. In fine condition no damage or restoration
