Bing Werke, Nuremberg – vertical live-steam engine No. 10/11/1, boxed with accessories, c.1919–1925, the compact engine comprising a vertically mounted cylindrical brass boiler above a black-painted pierced tinplate firebox, raised upon a circular moulded dark-green base, fitted with a small oscillating steam cylinder driving a six-spoke red-painted flywheel, with brass steam pipework and boiler fittings, firebox is impressed with the characteristic Bing trade mark, original black-painted chimney with brass flared base, spirit-burner/filling accessories and small circular tin containing wick and sundry fittings. Importantly, the engine retains its original stapled-cardboard box, the printed multilingual paper label reading: 'MADE IN BAVARIA / Dampfmaschine / Moteur à vapeur / Steam Engine / 10/11/1'.Providence: Dreweatt - Neate auction tag, lot 654A.
