Blackie and Son Ltd, a quantity of books with decorative covers, some in the ‘Glasgow school’ style and by Talwin Morris, Late 19th and early 20th Century, Cloth biddings (except one in leather) and comprising:- twenty-two books with covers attributed to or designed by Talwin Morris (British 1865-1911); together with the ‘Pedlar and his dog’ designed by the Silver Studio; there are eight books with the same cover design that are sometimes attributed (not proven) to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and a single book ‘An Original Girl’ by Ethel F Heddle, sometimes mentioned as a cover by Mackintosh (not proven); together with twenty-three Blackie and Son books with decorative cover designs; together with six Angela Brazil books with figurative covers and a book by Walter Rhoades ‘Two Scapegraces – A School Story’ with figurative cover: together with four books by various publishers with decorative covers, another plain covered book and a small volume of ‘Mother Goose’ illustrated by Kate Greenaway and published by Frederick Warne and Co (68)
