Blue Glazed Craved Snuff Bottle, Early 19th Century

A Chinese dark blue glazed snuff bottle carved in deep relief with a phoenix and dragon, dating from the 19th century. The snuff bottle has a pink tourmaline stopper and a metal spoon.

Dimensions are: 3 1/2 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide, 8.9 cm tall X 3.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The snuff bottle has a number of tiny chips to the glaze.

Provenance: From a Northern California estate.
