Blue & Brown Scalloped Ceramic Planter
This ceramic jardiniere features a vibrant blue and white sponged or mottled glaze body contrasted by a brown relief-decorated rim. The upper border is embellished with a repetitive foliate scroll pattern and finished with a wavy, scalloped edge. The large, rounded form rests on a simple circular foot, making it a substantial decorative piece for any interior.
Condition
Shows heavy crazing throughout both the interior and exterior, along with typical wear to the base. There is visible staining and mineral buildup on the interior from previous use as a planter. No major chips or cracks are immediately apparent, though the surface shows significant age-related glaze wear.
