BLUE DRAGON ROBE FOR MIDSUMMER.

Origin: China.
Dynasty: Qing dynasty.
Date: 19th-early 20th c.
Technique: Silk gauze, leno wave, embroidered with dyed silk in counted stiches and gold thread in appliqué. Five gilt bronze buttons.
Description: Eight five-clawed golden dragons in clouds with cranes and purple bats. On chest and back
each a flower basket, treasures floating in the waves.
Measurement: Length 126cm, width 130cm.
Condition B. Re-worked, newly lined, underlap missing, buttons repositioned, sleeves shortened and sewn by machine.
