THE FRANK STREETER COPY, The finest color we have ever seen. The Pehriska Ruhpa- Moennitarri Warrior aquatint engraving original is considered to be the most desirable of all the Karl Bodmer engravings with an example selling in a 2014 Arader Sale for $32,500 and recently in a September 8th 2019 sale for $20,000 at John Moran Auctioneers. The sole modification between the first and the seconds states is the addition of the date (February Ith 1841) following the original inscription. Tableau 23 originally was misnumbered "28", as shown on this example, which was corrected only in the third and final state.
