Bohemian Ruby & Gilt Amber Stag Vase

A tapered Bohemian-style glass vase of elongated form, narrowing towards a footed base. The vessel is constructed from transparent amber glass with a deep ruby-red stain applied to the exterior. The central decoration features a wheel-cut engraved scene of a bugling stag in a forest landscape, revealing the amber glass through the ruby layer. The buck is depicted in profile amidst tall grass, stylized trees, and rocks. Hand-painted gold gilt accents are applied throughout the design, including double bands at the rim, a solid band at the foot, and various cloud-like flourishes. The upper section and base are left in the original transparent amber color. The base is ground and polished. No signatures, maker's marks, or labels are present on the body or the base of the vase. Height: 10 inches measured from the base to the rim.
