Fewer than 300 copies are believed to have been published. Dunthorne praises this work for the illustrations which are "engraved in an unusually broad manner, well-coloured with opaque colours, producing extremely decorative plates, noteworthy among which are those of melons, cucumbers, gourds, pineapple, aloes, tulips, datura &c.".
