Book style cases containing a collection of plaster casts (2) / Wood, plaster, leather, paper 19th century. Lot of 2 items. A pair of book style cases from Collezione Musei. The cases are made of marbled wood and are double-sided, bound in contemporary parchment, with the back in leather with gold-coloured engravings and labels in red morocco leather. Volume no. 3 contains 37 casts Volume n. 4 contains 39 casts for a total of 76 plaster casts in relief depicting cameos taken from classical sculpture to Canova of the following collections: Museo del Campidoglio, Musei Vaticani, Works of Canova, Works of Thorwalsden, Museum of Naples and various monuments. The volumes are original by master carver Giovanni Liberotti. The plaster casts are all intact and immaculate. Volumes dimensions: 26 x 18 x 4. 5 cm
