Other Notes: Robert Battey Troutman Jr. (1890-1973) was an Atlanta-based lawyer and close friend of the Kennedy family. He was JFK's Southern campaign manager during the 1960 presidential run. Trouman was appointed in 1961 to a U.S. Committee of Equal Employment Opportunity and wrote the "Plan for Progress" to persuade 100 American firms to hire blacks voluntarily, which he thought he had achieved.

Pierre Emil George Salinger (1925-2004) was a journalist, author, and politician. In 1960 Salinger was Kennedy's presidential campaign and served as press secretary for Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. 1964 he served as a U.S. Senator; in 1968, he became Presidential campaign manager for Robert F. Kennedy. By 1974 he became a reporter for ABC.

Condition: Good condition, light wear consistent with age and use.
