Book of Common Prayer, Greek.- Leitourgia Brettanike [graece], title in red and black, [STC 16432], for Richard Whittaker, 1638 bound with Tes Kaines Diathekes Apanta [graece] [New Testament], extra illustrated with numerous engraved plates, [STC 2798.5], for Richard Whittaker, 1633 and The Whole Book of Psalmes, [STC 2696], for the Companie of Stationers, 1638, together 3 works in 1 vol., text in Greek and largely double-column, occasional light uniform browning, occasional spotting, a few very small marginal defects, occasional light marginal damp-staining, endpapers from other works, possibly C16th, some splitting to lower hinge but holding firm, eighteenth-century morocco, gilt, 19th century morocco reback, gilt, lacking original clasps, joints rubbed, upper cover corner slightly chipped; and 4 others 17th century Greek New Testaments and a Psalter, 8vo (5)

⁂ The endpapers of the first work are possibly works in their own right. The front endpaper begins "The compilers of the English common prayer book" and is similar to STC 16448.7 although with different spellings. The rear endpaper has a heading commencing "De aeterno, tremendo" followed by verse in italics signed Ric. Andrewes and then a paragraph in Greek initialled "A. G." at foot.
