Mounted without meridian from an offset bracket above an oak peg-fitted table stand. Surface dimple over U.S., some equator strip scale loss. Some darkening. Post-1918; mentions Petrograd in Russia, Yugo-Slavia, Czechoslovakia. Scarce early advertising globe with label pasted to surface over Weber Costello logo. The 1912 patent date coincides with the first edition of the Book of Knowledge. Shows large parts of Africa unexplored, to such extent that the book said that dinosaurs might still be found there!
