Founded in 1884 by the brothers António and Francisco, Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges soon became one of the main national wine companies. Recognizing that it is only through excellence that Portuguese wines can assert themselves in the world, Borges has always focused on the quality of its production. Generally stated, 1985 was a great classic vintage and produced concentrated, rich and potent wines with enormous aging potential. Declared general, 1994 produced classic, monumental wines with fabulous fruit-rich character and fantastic structure. An excellent Vintag and probably one of the best of the 20th century.
