Oil on Canvas
Year: 2007
Measure 20"in H x 16"in W not framed
Biography: Boris Lopez, born in the warm lands of Cuba and later relocated to the vibrant city of Miami, is an artist whose brush dances to the rhythm of history and tradition. His move to the United States in the 1990s marked not just the beginning of a new chapter in his life, but also the awakening of a latent talent. From a sacred space, Boris brings to life artworks filled with emotion and faith. His acrylics shine with religious iconography, showcasing resplendent virgins who seem to tell stories of devotion and hope. And though self-taught, his mastery in pointillism suggests a depth of training, where each dot merges to narrate a grander tale. History, in fact, is one of Boris's passions. He takes delight in uncovering stories from the past, and this fondness is reflected in the depth and context of his paintings. Besides being a talented painter, Boris has a particular appreciation for art. Without being a collector in the traditional sense, he has, over the years, gathered a few pieces that resonate with his artistic and personal vision. Boris Lopez is not just a painter; he's a visual storyteller who, with each stroke, blends memories, history, and an unending passion for art. Boris, in Miami has found a voice that transcends borders, connecting cultures and generations through the universal language of painting.
Provenance: Private collection of a Miami family with over 30 years of collecting.
