Head of collection. The first six years of this horticultural magazine which appeared monthly from 1881 until 1906.

It brings together articles on gardening advice as well as company reports: on the reproduction of ferns, the breeding of camellias, the care to be given to plants or even the cultivation of plants in apartments.

Two figures in black in-text in number 3 of the 2nd year (March 1882) to illustrate the article on pinion shafts.

Period bindings, half brown sheepskin, decorated smooth spines, titles and years with gilded stamps. - Backs passed for two volumes, rubbed caps. Interiors in very good fresh condition, clean and without foxing. Beautiful copy.

Provenance: Heraldic ex-libris of Baron Guy de Rothschild, Floriste de Ferrières ex-libris stamps on the front pages (and gilded irons on the lower backs)
