Edouard Bovet was born on September 15, 1797 in Fleurier, Switzerland, the son of local master watchmaker Jean Frédéric Bovet. After stays in London and Canton, he returned to Fleur in 1830.

Silver dial with two different surfaces - engine-turned in the shape of a cloud in the middle and smooth on the outside. Thus two-color representation.
