Bowl (2) - Silver - Genazzi - Italy - 1938-1947

Lot of 2x bowls, hand-embossed and decorated with leaves. Lined inside the a vermeil sheet with only traces of the original gold plating. Made during the WWII. The fasces mark has been grazed. The signature by Genazzi shows some flaws. The silversmith hallmark 23 MI is partially illegible. Silver fineness hallmark: 800 outlined. The Milanese silversmiths Luigi and Eros Genazzi became famous for their elegant and refined creations, and are still considered one of the best silversmithing brands of Italy. Higher bowl weight: 342 grams. Height: 11cm; diameter: 13. 5 cm. It still shows the label by Peppino Capuano, well known jewellery store in Rome. Lower bowl weight: 298 grams.
