Bowl - Inuyama ware - Earthenware
A very beautiful example of Japanese pottery exemplifying the wabi sabi aesthetic, this bowl is modeled on the 17th century Swatow ceramics much admired in Japan.
The bowl dates from the late Edo period.

Diameter 26 cm
Height 10 cm
Condition: production flaw in the footring and bottom of the bowl. White enamels can be seen. It could also be an extra decorative element added by the artist as it is in 'wabi sabi' style.
