Bowmore 1990 31 years old Mizunara PX Sherry Cask - One of 161 - East Asia Whisky Company - 70cl
This stunning Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in 1990 at the Bowmore Distillery and then aged for nearly 30 years in a refill bourbon hogshead. In 2021 the whisky was reracked into a PX Sherry-seasoned Mizunara Cask from Hokkaido. After the liquid had absorbed enough of this cask's influence, it was given a final rest in a virgin Mizunara cask before being bottled at the end of 2021. Bottle No 115 of only 161. This masterclass of a malt has just been awarded 98 Points and Gold Outstanding from the IWSC Spirit Judging Committee.
