A refined antique Bunko文庫 used nashiji lacquer and maki-e techniques.
The outer surface of this Suzuribako shows a fine black-lacquered lid decorated with gold maki-e patterns on the center. The reverse of the lid also designed with beautiful pine needle, plum blossom and bamboos by taka maki-e technique.
The interior of the Bunko are coated with nashiji lacquer, a traditional Japanese finish that creates a gold dust effect over the entire surface. This finish offers a charming contrast to the glossy black exterior.
