Box - Silver - Decorated with irises at Yatsuhashi (Eight Bridges) - Signed - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) The box is in very good condition, original in all its parts, and in addition to having the original Japanese punch marks under the base, on the inside of the lid, there is a very small (swan) French import (Drouot) punch. the marsh flowers are embossed on a fairly thick silver plate, the sign of a master with high manual skills.
