Boxed Trix Twin Railway, England, circa 1937–39. An OO-gauge three-rail AC LNER Passenger Train Set, No. 4/334, comprising green die-cast 0-4-0 tender locomotive, cab-side number 465, matching green LNER tender with simulated coal load, and three tinplate bogie passenger coaches in teak-effect brown livery with cream roofs, contained in the original large red Trix presentation box with hinged lid, the interior lithographed in yellow and black with 'TRIX TWIN RAILWAY' branding, illustration of an LNER locomotive held in a hand and explanatory text relating to the Twin Train system and Trix permanent way, fitted interior retains the original compartmentalised storage arrangement, including the large illustrated 'Space for Your Second Train' cover, provision for a second controller, controller protector, storage cabinet and original accessory cartons, accessories include the original carton marked for one coil of wire, six plugs and one bottle of Trix Shell Oil, together with the associated controller and period paperwork/packing material, original printed contents label remains in situ and reads 'THIS SET CONTAINS – PASSENGER TRAIN SET L.N.E.R. 4/334.'.* Literature: The 4/334 numbering belongs to Trix's pre-war British system: the initial '4' denoted LNER, while the 334 series identified this passenger train configuration. The specialist Trix numbering reference confirms the '4' prefix as LNER, and the surviving set lists confirm 4/334 as the green LNER 0-4-0 passenger set.
