Brahin Meteorite Slice Pallasite, PMG Gomel', Belarus - (52° 30'N, 30° 20'E) Found: 1810 This massive thick slice of the Brahin Meteorite weighs a robust 466 grams and features numerous vivid golden Olivine crystals amid its reflective metallic surface. This slice of this renowned Belarus Meteorite exhibits an appealing organic shape and, while a bit too thick to be translucent, offers a virtually complete crystallization coverage that is quite striking. The crystals are extremely glassy and look spectacular over both sides of which either could be the primarily display face. The thick rind is sharp, rugged and natural. Brahin is a good looking Pallasite, and the example highlights the contrasting blend of crystal with metal.
